交通事故处理流程

第 1 步

立刻停车，保持冷静，同时打紧急灯， 熄火，拿好钥匙，保管好自己车内的贵重物品。

第 2 步

必须报警的情况：如果有人受伤或目测损失超过$2000，或者怀疑任何涉案司机酒驾毒驾，亦或者对方司机拒绝提供驾照等信息，立刻拨打911

不一定需要报警的情况：无人受伤，损失低于$2000且无人违规驾驶。

• 公了：这种情况要在 24 小时内报告给当地的事故中心（Collision Center），并之后需要在事故中心完善事故报告，取得一个事故编号
• 私了：如果双方同意私了，那么彼此就保留好对方的信息和联络方式，并最好双方有个协议

第 3 步 

如果可能，可以下车拍照，用于之后的事故报告和保险赔付。

第 4 步

在安全的情况下，将车辆移到路边，远离车流。如果车辆无法行驶，视情况打开危险警示灯或使用路障，三角警示牌或信号灯。

第 5 步

记录以下信息，也可以录音，拍照，拍摄视频等。

1. 对方车牌，驾照，姓名，电话，保单信息（Pink Card）
2. 记下对方车辆的所有者名称和地址，这些产品可以在保单上找到。
3. 如果可能，可以记录VIN＃（车辆识别号码），通常在汽车的挡风玻璃下，或在驾驶员的门侧。 VIN是17位编码，由数字和字母组成。 VIN#是汽车的身份证，数字是唯一的
4. 工厂年，制造商，模型，保险省，车牌号码
5. 对方车辆的保险公司名称
6. 目击者姓名和联系方式（如有）
7. 如果可能的话，只需画出事故情形，警察或事故中心会需要
8. 如果有第三方或更多的车辆牵涉进事故，必须都记下上述所有信息
9. 如果有其他人受伤，写下姓名，地址和联系人号码

最好事先打印好一张事故信息记录表，平时与行车证一起放在车里。

第 6 步

处理好现场后尽快致电保险公司，告知前后因果，并要求采取后续措施。

关于拖车

车辆无法驾驶时，可以考虑雇佣拖车，但不建议接受来历不明的拖车，也不需要随意在他们对方提供的合约上签字，以防遇到扣车欺诈等事情。

尽量联系你相信的拖车公司，并告知其将车拖至你信得过的车行。如果是CAA会员可以直接叫他们的拖车，有的4S店也提供拖车服务。

附件：随车常备物件

始终在车辆后备箱中放置基本的车辆急救或应急包，包括

• 笔和纸
• 事故记录表
• 一个基本的急救箱
• 紧急道路照明，警告三角或路障
• 灭火器（ABC型）
• 手电筒和备用电池
• 瓶装水
• 增压电缆
• 轮胎修理装置和打气筒
• 一个小工具箱
• 一条毛巾
• 一双工作手套
• 易储存的食物

MUTUAL RELEASE & DISCHARGE

It is further agreed that neither party to this mutual releaseand discharge will make any claim or take any proceedings against any personwho might claim over against or claim contribution or indemnity from the otherparty in connection with the above accident for which this mutual release isgiven.

It is understood and agreed that nothing in this mutualrelease and discharge is to be construed as an admission of liability inconnection with any matter for which this mutual release is given.
